Hazel River Mouse Shire
This Mousehold is a collection of tradesmice & artisans which sleep together in a stone fortress built on the south bank of the upper headwater of the Thornton River. Timbercutters fell saplings for construction material & strip tree bark for fuel to feed the furnaces of the Glaziers, Potters, and Metalsmiths of the community while shipping surplus down river to Fletcher Mill. The community is composed mostly of unmarried male mice, young, and dedicated to a communal style of living which requires all mice to bed down in the grand hall of the stone keep which keeps them safe from all predators in the wilds of the mountains.
This mousehold stands on the farthest reach of the western Scent Borders & is often under threat of raids from weasel war bands coming down from the mountains.
